Fire crews from the Stamford Fire Department responded to a Hampshire Drive home on Sunday, Feb. 17, when neighbors reported flames coming out of the back of the structure.
According to fire officials, upon arrival, first responders reported that there were flames on both the first and second floor of the building, with flames coming out of the roof.
Using hoses, crews worked quickly to knock down the flames, which was reported extinguished within 15 minutes. Crews remained on scene to locate any smoldering or hidden patches of fire inside the home.
At the time of the fire, the residence was unoccupied. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
